Thurmond Loyd Friele, son of S. R. Friele and wife was born Sept. 9, 1897, and died April 1, 1908, being 11 years, 6 months and 22 days old. Loyd was a good boy and for some time has talked so much about wanting to join the church which he was going to do with other members of the family as soon as they were able to get to church (some of the family having been sick for some time). On the night before he died he sang several songs such as "Nearer My God to Thee," "It's Just Like His Great Love," When the Roll is Called up Yonder," "Rescue the Perishing," etc. After had had sung he called his little brother and sister to his bed side and told them that he was going home. His body was shipped to Honey Grove, Tex., for burial. Funeral services conducted at the home by Rev. W. A.
