FUTRELL, HENRY M.
(28 Jan 1926, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mr. and Mrs. John D. Bomford and daughters Luna Clark and Martha Jane,
returned from Terrill, Texas, where they were called a week ago Sunday by
the illness of Mrs. Bomford's father, Henry M. Futrell.
Mr. Futrell died last Thursday morning at 5:45 and Mr. Bomford and family
started home immediately after the funeral.  Owing to the storm they had
much difficulty in returning home as the roads were almost impassable. 
Telephone and telegraph lines were down and across the roads and roads in
places impossible to travel.  They went more than 100 miles out of their
way and  were on the road three days.
Mr. Futrell was one of the pioneers of the Terrill community having lived
there for forty years, and his death caused widespread sorrow.
Mrs. Bomford's many friends here extend deepest sympathy in her bereavement.
