D. Garnett, who passed away early Friday morning, after a brief illness of eight hours with something like ptomaine poisoning. Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church, South, on Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Allen. At the request of the mother, the choir sang "Jesus Wants You For a Sunbeam." The little form was laid to rest in beautiful Fairlawn cemetery, these services being in charge of Grubitz & Son. Joe Randall, or Jodie, as he was called, was born Dec. 25, 1914, and was 2 years, 6 months and 12 days old. He was the eldest child and only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Garnett. A little baby sister whom he loved so dearly and who was his delight, is left. Jodie was such a sweet, good child and had bright and winning ways. Everyone who knew him loved him. To Mr. and Mrs. Garnett the sympathy of the community is extended, though friends may sympathize, only the Heavenly Father can share their burden. ---------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
