Mr. Gillespie died September 20, 1917. After he husband's death she came home with her brother, J. E. Boyer (sic) and wife and made her home with them until the time of her death, April 20, 1926. She became a christian at the age of 16 years and remained faithful to the end. What more could be said, she could say, like Paul - "I have kept the faith, and henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness. Mrs. Gillespie will be missed in the home by her brother, Mr. Bowyer, who was devoted to her and by Mrs. Bowyer who ministered so kindly to her all these years. Mrs. Gillespie was so grateful to Dr. Coulson and Mrs. McClain and everyone who assisted in anyway to make her comfortable in her late illness. May we, like her, keep the faith and look to "Him" who doeth all things well, for comfort and solace when the death angel hovers near. Mrs. G. E. Pinkerton. Card of Thanks We take this method of expressing our thanks to our friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us during the illness and death of our sister, Mrs. Bowyer (sic). May God bless each of you. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Bowyer, J. G. Hosttler and family. ---------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
