GILLIAM, EFFIE
(21 Jul 1921, Thursday, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
BERLIN.  Death of Effie Gilliam.
Rev. Davis of Sayre, received a telegram from his sister, Mrs. Gilliam of
Elida, New Mexico, stating the death of his little niece, Effie.  Bro.
Davis had been called three times before, but was unable to go this time. 
His mother and niece from Sentinel, attended the funeral, which was held
at Elida on Saturday.  The family certainly have the sympathy of all, for
Effie was such a nice, sweet little girl of twelve summers.
She leaves her parents, one sister, and two little brothers and many other
relatives and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
Effie had ever been a sunbeam of love, filling the home and hearts of her
parents with joy and gladness.  Her life was brief.  The silent reaper
came and gathered this dear one to the Heavenly Father to become one of
His precious jewels in the diadem of His infinite love.
