(17 Mar 1921, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DEATH OF MRS. J. D. GREEN. Mrs. J. D. Green of the Ural neighborhood died last night and will be buried this afternoon at Ural cemetery, Grubitz & Son being in charge of interment. Mrs. Green was thirty years old. (24 Mar 1921, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): MRS. J. D. GREEN Minite L. Slack was born in La., December 3rd, 1890. Was converted at the age of fifteen years. On April 1st, 1907 was married to J. D. Green. To this union was born seven children, Carlos, the oldest died October 27, 1915. Clyde, age 11; Madge, age 9; Robert, age 7; Nettie, age 5; John, age 3; and Jesse age 5 months. She also leaves her husband and three brothers to mourn her departure. She united with the Nazarene church in Hefner community in 1915 and remained a member until her death. "Blessed are the dead, who die in the Lord."
