(20 Jan 1922, Friday, Southwest Press, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DIED. E. S. Hadlock of Foss, Okla., died Saturday, Jan. 14, of paralysis, after an illness of a few days. He was 79 years old, and was the father of Mrs. R. M. Brenneman and Mrs. Royce of Elk City. There were 53 relatives present at the time of his death. Masons took charge of the funeral services. (29 Jan 1922, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DIED. E. S. Hadlock of Foss died last Saturday after having had a stroke of paralysis. He was the father of Mrs. Brenneman and Mrs. W. L. Royse of this city. OBITUARY. E. S. Hadlock Ezekiel S. Hadlock died Saturday January 14, 1922 at his home in Foss, Oklahoma, after a short illness of pneumonia. He was 79 years, 11 months and 3 days old. Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church South and interment was made in the Foss cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Graham, and the Masonic lodge of Foss. The deceased was born February 11, 1842, in Pike County, Indiana. He was converted early in life joining the Cumberland Presbyterian church and after coming west joined the M. E. Church South of which he remained a member until his death. He was ever a true christian and friend and to know him was to respect and love him. He is survived by a wife and seven children: W. J. Hadlock of Foss, Okla., Mrs. Emma Chapman of Albany, Okla., Mrs. H. A. Gale of Cordell, Okla., A. Hadlock of Geary, Okla., Mrs. D. B. Johnston of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. W. L. Royse and Mrs. R. M.
