He was born near Elk City Nov. 1st, 1920. How anxiously the doting parents watched over their little one when he was sick. After great suffering the little one passed sweetly into the rest where the all is peace, happiness and joy. He was such a little comfort and ever a joy in the home. How he watched after his mamma when she was not well. Not long ago when she was sick he made her lie down by the fire while he went ahead to wash the dishes for her, going every little while to see that she was all right. The brave little fellow was so thoughtful for one of his age. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Baptist Church conducted by Rev. E. D. Hamilton, and the body laid to rest in Fairlawn cemetery. Sorrow is expressed by everyone for the young parents who have had to give up their only child. He was the first grandchild of Mrs. W. T. Adkins and she loved him like her own. The News Democrat wishes to join the many friends in extending deepest sympathy to the bereaved ones. ---------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
