Rites Set Tuesday for R. A. Hankins
Services for Robert A. Hankins, 81 year old retired farmer, will be at 2
p.m. Tuesday in the Methodist church.  Hankins died here Saturday.
He is survived by his wife, of the home, 806 North Washington; a son,
Cecil, Wichita, Kan.; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Thomas, Carter; Mrs. Flora
Glasgow, Santa Anna, Calif.; Mrs. Lloyd Adams, Amarillo, and Mrs. F. D.
Wilson, Taft, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Greggsby, Dallas; Mrs. Roy
Coe (sic), Seymour, Texas, and Mrs. Joe Ferguson, Cleburne, Texas; two
brothers, George of Bethany, and Cleve of Holdenville, 10 grandchildren
and 12 great grandchildren.  Born in Texas, he homesteaded here in 1900
and moved to Elk City when he retired.  He was a member of  the Methodist
church.  Rev. Cecil Coover will officiate and burial will be at Carter
with Savage in charge.
