Hardin had been a resident of Mangum for twenty-five years. His death was caused from heart failure last Tuesday, week, Nov. 1, 1921. He leaves a wife and five children, one child being dead. He was a worthy citizen, a member of the Baptist church, and beloved by all who knew him. All of his children, Mrs. Ida Lauderdale of Elk City, Clifford Hardin and Mrs. Carter Thompson of Jacksboro, Texas, Wilson Hardin of Trinidad, Colo., with the exception of Mrs. O. S. Hill of Albuquerque, N. M., were present at his funeral last Sunday, Nov. 6. Beautiful floral offerings were bounteous. (11 Nov 1921, Friday, Southwest Press, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): J. R. Lauderdale of Forgan was at the funeral of his grandfather, H. M. Hardin, in Mangum last Sunday. He will spend the week here with his parents. Misses Marie McKean and Ada Lauderdale went to Mangum last Sunday to attend the funeral of the latter's grandfather, H. M.
