HARRIS, MERTIE FRANCIS
(7 Apr 1904, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Mertie Francis Harris, beloved wife of Prof. A. R. Harris, died at
the family residence on Adams street at 12:15 Tuesday morning, of a
complication of diseases.  She was 27 years of age and leaves two little
children.  The funeral services were preached by Rev. J. W. Joiner at the
C. P. Church and the remains were interred in Elk City cemetery Tuesday
afternoon.  We join a host of friends in extending heartfelt sympathy to
the bereaved husband.
