All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ HARRISON, MARY (20 Jan 1925, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mary Hanson Harrison was born in Tyrone County, Ireland, April 27, 1862 and died in Elk City, Oklahoma, January 18, 1925, and was 62 years, 8 months and 22 days old. Mary Hansen (sic) came to America with her father in 1870 and they homesteaded in Cloud County, Kansas. She lived there until her marriage to B. F. Harrison, Aug. 23rd, 1885. They moved from Nebraska to Elk City in 1910 and with the exception of living 2 years in town have spend the remainder of their time on their farm which is situated 4 miles south of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison had six children, one dying in infancy and another, Mrs. Ruthie Miller died March 15, 1916. The others are Mrs. Dora Wisner of North Platte, Nebr., Mrs. Perc Ansel of Elk City, Okla., and two sons James and Bennie who are married and live at this place. Mr. Harrison and his wife were having a new bungalow built on north Main Street and were planning to move into it soon, but Mrs. Harrison, who has been in poor health for the past two years took a sudden relapse and died at 6 o'clock Sunday, January 18th. (23 Jan 1925, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): THE FUNERAL OF MRS. B. F. HARRISON The funeral of Mrs. B. F. Harrison, whose death was announced in Tuesday's paper, was held at the Christian Church on Tuesday afternoon, with Eld. J. C. Carman, officiating, in absence of the pastor, C. H. Lemmex. Many friends attended and accompanied the funeral party to Ural cemetery where remains were laid to rest. The deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved husband and children.
