E. HAY DEAD Charlie Eugene Hay died at his home 4 miles west of city Jan. 29, age 37 years, leaving a wife and three children, one sister, Mrs. Smith, of Blair, Okla., and seven brothers. Two brothers from Waco, Texas, attended the funeral. Another brother, O. B. Hay, who lives here was not able to attend. Funeral services conducted Sunday by Rev. C. Bowles, at Grubitz Undertaking Parlors, and was buried with Woodmen honors. (6 Feb 1920, Friday, Elk City Press, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): CHARLES EUGENE HAY The death of Charles Eugene Hay at his home four miles west of Elk City last Thursday night of influenza was a very sad affair. He was thirty-seven years of age and leaves a wife, three children, one sister and nine brothers. The funeral services were held at the Grubitz parlors with W.O.W honors, of which order he was a member, last Sunday, Rev. Bowles officiating.
