HIGGINS, CARRIE MARIE
(The Elk City Daily News, Elk City, Beckham Co, Ok, 28? June, 1996)
Carrie Marie Higgins was born July 26, 1906 in Meridian, Oklahoma
Territory to Lydia Ether and Alfred L. Hay and passed away June 23, 1996,
in the Cheyenne Care Center at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 27 days.
Marie attended school at Meridian and married Aubrie Lee Higgins on April
5, 1923 in Sayre, Ok.  They lived in the Zybach community before returning
to Roger Mills County to make their home.
She was a member of the Reydon First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one son
and three grandchildren.
She is survived by 1 daughter Neva Parman, Reydon, Ok, and 1 son, Alvin
Higgins, Cheyenne, Ok; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great
great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 1996, at the Reydon First
Baptist Church officiated by A. L. Martin, and assisted by Terrel Romberg.
 Interment was in the Mulberry Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel
Funeral Service.
