Mary was loved by all who knew her, and always had a sweet smile and pleasant word for everyone. Mary was a consecrated and sanctified Christian girl and was ready to go to her Savior. All that could be done for Mary by the doctors and faithful nurses was done and many earnest prayers, both here and at Leedey and Bessie, were offered in her behalf, but it was God's will to take Mary home, where all sorrow and suffering is over. Mary left a young husband, father, mother, several brothers and sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Mary was prepared for burial by Grubitz and Son, who gave such kindly service in the dark hour of sorrow. Mary was laid away at the Carpenter Cemetery (Roger Mills County) where the funeral was held. A most comforting sermon was preached by Reverend Gales, who was Mary's pastor. Reverend's White and Moad assisted Reverend Gales. The music was beautiful and in perfect harmony. The friends and relatives are grateful to Mrs. Perry for her comforting words and prayers in this sad hour. All that is left to do is to look up to Mary's Savior and live so we can meet her in that sweet Heavenly home where all sorrow is over. Written by Mary's Aunt, Mrs. Arthur Hill. ---------------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/beckham/beckham.htm
