(23 May 1907, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DEATH. H. H. Hiner, who came here last fall from Shawnee, died Tuesday at 11 a.m., of pneumonia. Mr. Hiner after coming here bought cotton on the street and later went to work in the New Star Grocery, at which place he remained until his death. His remains were taken to Shawnee for interment. He leaves a wife and one child. (May 1907, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Harry H. Hiner late of Shawnee come to Elk City last fall and bought cotton and later clerked in the J. C. Davenport Star Grocery Company was taken sick last Friday with a severe case of pneumonia and died Tuesday morning. His father and brother and wife was with him at his bedside when the fatal hour came. He leaves besides his wife a lovely little babe five weeks old. His remains was sent back to Shawnee for burial. His father and brother accompanying them to their last resting place. Harry left a host of friends and relatives who mourn his death.
