HIX, ELVA LEONARD
(13 Oct 1927, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Elva Lenard (sic) Hix was born February 1, 1927, and died October 7, 1927,
aged 8 months and 7 days.  The funeral services were conducted by Bro.
Hawkins Saturday afternoon at the home.  The little one was laid to rest
in Fairlawn Cemetery.  Little Elva was a precious jewel to us but more
precious in Heaven.  He was the pride of life, while he suffered so long
and we know he is at rest; but Oh! those precious blue eyes, we can never
see.  We loved him dear but God loved him best.  So now sleep and rest,
little one, sleep and rest - God loved thee best.  Written by Mother.
CARD OF THANKS
We all so thank our friends and neighbors for the kindness they have shown
us in the sickness and death of our baby.  Also for the beautiful flowers.
