Wayne F. Hoffman was born July 16, 1955 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Anita Ann and Alfred Charles Hoffman. He passed away March 19, 2002 in Integris Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 46 years 8 months and 3 days. Wayne graduated from Canute High School in 1973. He worked at Dayton Tire in Oklahoma City before moving bak to Canute. He was married to Brenda Kay Bounds at Sayre, Oklahoma on March 29, 1974. They lived in Elk City for a short time before moving to Canute to make their home. Wayne worked for Loffland Brothers Drilling and other drilling contractors before going to work for Nomac drilling Corporation where he was a Rig Manager. Wayne loved his grandchildren and wildlife. He could be seen every morning south of Canute watching for deer and turkey. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John G. and Geneva Hoffman, Leo and Elizabeth Steffes, his father, 2 brothers Jerry and Dennis, his father-in-law, H.B. Bounds, and 1 nephew Stacy Hoffman. The Prayer Vigil will be held in the Whinery-Savage Chapel, Thursday, March 21st at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 22, 2002 at 10:30 a.m.. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clinton, Oklahoma, officiated by Father Michael Chapman. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service, Elk City. Survivors include his wife, Brenda of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Krissey Hoffman of Canute, OK; one daughter and son-in-law, Destiny and Cody Hill of Drummond, OK; 2 grandchildren, Rowdy and Riley Hoffman; his mother, Anita Hoffman of Canute, OK; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Floyd Cooper of Yukon, OK, Alfreda and Alton Frederick of Canute, OK; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Evelyn Hoffman of Yukon, OK; 1 sister-in-law, Rosemary Hoffman and husband, Jack Langham of Sapulpa, OK; Nieces and nephews, Gary, Penny, Amanda and Taylor Cooper of Yukon, OK, Daivd, Teresa, Megan and Kelsey C ooper of Yukon, OK, Dusty, Deanna and Tesla Hoffman of Waco, TX, Christina, Paul and Haley Warnke of Canute, Christina Hoffman of Dallas, TX; God Son, Jerry Lynn (Bo) Hoffman of Sapulpa, OK, Melissa and Jason Carter of Canute, OK, Lance, Mary and Baylee Frederick of Canute, OK, Brandon Lee and Julia Hoffman of Yukon, OK; his mother-in-law, Lela Mae Bounds of C , OK; 1 brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doug and Carolyn Bounds of Elk City, OK, Nieces and Nephews, Kim, David, Zachary and Jacob Young of Elk City, Jaime Bounds of Oklahoma City, OK, Doug Bounds, Jr., Stillwater, OK; and a host of relatives and friends.
