(2 Jun 1921, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): MOTHER DIES. P. E. Hopper received word Saturday night of the sudden death of his mother at her home at Rocky. It was thought she had congestion of the lungs. She and husband intended coming over to Elk City on Sunday morning for a few days visit with their sons and families and also to attend the Memorial Services. Her death was a great shock to her friends. She was 64 years and 8 days old. Funeral services were held at Rocky where interment was made. She leaves five sons and one daughter. Mr. Faifer took Mr. and Mrs. P. E. and S. W. Hopper to Rocky immediately after news came of her death. The C. of C. Band of which P. E. Hopper is manager sent expressions of sympathy to him at Rocky, while a host of friends extend same to him in his sad bereavement. (Oklahoma, Washita County, Rocky, Elm Flat Cemetery: Nannie J.
