Charles Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Sayre. Ona Mae Huddleston was born at Sayre on January 20, 1933 and died Thursday, January 3, 2002 at her home in Sayre. Mae finished high school in Amarillo, Texas where she lived until moving to Oklahoma City where she completed her nurses training in 1975. She was married to John Huddleston on February 18, 1973 in Oklahoma City, where they made their home. They moved to Sayre in 1975 and have lived there since. Mae worked as an L.P.N. at the Sayre Memorial Hospital and Hensley's Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Paul Rutherford; one daughter, Sharon Lynn Goff and one sister, Phillis Wright. Survivors include her husband, John Huddleston of the Sayre home; one son, Jeff Huddleston of Sayre; two sisters, Ella Faye and husband Bryan of Sayre, Shirley Monroe of Midwest City; one brother, Willie Lambert and wife Barbara of Norman; one brother-in-law, Jiggs Wright of Cheyenne; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
