Mrs. Susan Hunt, mother of Mrs. Sarah McNeal, died Tuesday, March 22nd, after an extended illness of diabetes, aged seventy-three years. The body was prepared by Grubitz & Son for shipment to Graham, Mo., where interment will be made. Mrs. McNeal accompanied the remains. The deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved relatives. (25 Mar 1921, Elk City Press, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mrs. Susan Hunt, age seventy-three years, died March 22, 1921 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sam McNeal, this city. Funeral services were at the home, Wednesday at one o'clock, led by Brother Miller of the Christian Church. The remains were shipped to Graham, Mo., to be buried by the side of her husband, who died seventeen years ago. Mrs. McNeil (sic) accompanied the body, and Mr. McNeil went as far as El Reno with her. Mrs. McNeil and family have the entire sympathy of their many friends and neighbors. (7 Apr 1921, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): OBITUARY Susan Palmer was born July 10, 1847, in Wells County, Indiana, and died at Elk City, Oklahoma, Tuesday, March 22, 1921, age 73 years, 8 months and 12 days. She was married to Thomas Hunt April 19, 1866, and to them five children were born, who are all living and are as follows: Mrs. Sarah E. McNeal, Elk City, Okla., Mrs. Alice Ripley, Graham, Mo., J. W. Hunt, Denver, Colo., Samuel Hunt, Arkon, Colo., and John C. Hunt, Graham, Mo. Mrs. Hunt's husband has been dead for several years. For two years she has not been well physically, but was confined to her bed but a few days before her death. Many years ago she united with the Christian church and ever endeavored to exemplify the teachings of her Lord and Christ. Her body was brought to Graham, Mo., for burial and the funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Ripley, Saturday, March 26, at 2 p.m., after which the body was buried in Prairie Home Cemetery. - The Graham (Mo.)
