He was married to Miss Hessie Wheeler May 11, 1912. To this union was born one boy, Francis, Jr., who passed to his reward last year at about the age of six months. He was converted at the age of 20 and united with the M. E. Church in Kansas. Frank was a man that did not make a display of something that he was not, he felt that he had not been living a christian life and asked the prayer of the christian people. He was taken ill very suddenly and carried to the hospital where everything that medical aid and loving hands could do but to no avail and after placing his trust anew in Him who said "return unto me ye back sliding children and I will heal your backslidings" the halo of glory once more beamed on his face and he said to the writer who stood by his bedside, I have nothing to fear "yea tho I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I fear no evil for Thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, father, sister and numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held in the school auditorium at Canute as the room at the Church house was inadequate to accommodate the large crowd. Services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Newman with Grubitz and son in charge. His remains were laid to rest by the side of his little son, Frank, J., in the Canute cemetery to await the resurrection morning.
