Of this union there were seven children born, two died in infancy, one a young man died five years ago amongst strangers, her husband died in Elk City three years ago amongst strangers, then on the 29th of April 1908, she was called from this world of trouble, heartaches pain, to take up that higher, greater, more noble and Spiritual life in the bosom of God. While seeking relief from a prolonged spell of Asthma enroute to her daughter in Silverton, Colorado, she was so bad on reaching Durango, that she had to be taken from the train, and died the same evening Wednesday April 29th 1908. Alone amongst strangers, also, no loving voice to cheer her, no hand to touch her with a loving caress, not one to say good by mother, as all were unable to reach her. She leaves four children to mourn her loss, two sons and two daughters. One son is a practitioner of medicine in Great Falls Montana, the other is attending a medical school in Madison Wisconsin. One daughter is married and lives in Silverton, Colorado, the other is our own Frances, of our public school, of our own society, of our own town. Mrs. Irvin joined the M. E. Church when a little girl, she came to the Christian Church later where she lived a consecrated consistent Christian life, died in the faith and saved in His Name, she was a member of the church in this place, loved by all who knew her appreciated by those who knew her best. She was a good wife and a faithful mother. Her friends will miss her but we know in whom she has believed, Jesus, The Son of God. Funeral was held at the home at 10:30 A.M., by Elder Otis after which the body was placed in the tomb to await the resurrection call when she shall stand with the redeemed of the Lord.
