CURTIS RAY JACKSON Funeral services for Curtis Ray JACKSON will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Frank RANDLE officiating. The place of services will be announced later. Curtis Jackson was born Jan. 24, 1954 in Clinton, the son of Archie and Katherine (HOWELL) JACKSON, and died March 1 in St. Anthony's Hospital, Oklahoma City, at the age of 34. Curtis JACKSON came to Elk City with his family when he was in the seventh grade. He attended Elk City High School where he was active in track and football. Mr. JACKSON was a member of the Christ Holy Sanctified Church. He married Thelma SMITH on Sept. 7 1973, and they were divorced in 1979. Mr. JACKSON was employed by Magcobar for 10 years, and he had also worked at the Sequoia Factory and SCI Seismograph. His hobbies were playing football, camping, fishing and drawing. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie JACKSON of Elk City: four children, Tonya SMITH, Reginald SMITH, Raylond SMITH and Farashin JACKSON, all of Ek City: his maternal grandmother, Mary HOWELL, of Elk City; seven brothers, Robert of Quanah, Tex., Rick of Lansing, Kan., Terry, Michael, Dwight, Lenard and Richard, all of Elk City, and four sisters, Ruth JACKSON and Margaret GUY, both of Elk City, Carolyn JENKINS of Watonga, and Markeitha TALLEY of Greenville, Ga. He was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Savage Funeral Home.
