(27 Mar 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): S. JACKSON DIED SUDDENLY 7 P.M. THURSDAY Word has been received this evening that S. Jackson died suddenly at his home in Waurika, Oklahoma, at 7 p.m., this evening. No particulars are known. S. Jackson was at one time one of the most prominent men in Roger Mills County at which time he was President of the Cheyenne State Bank. He began his business career here as a bookkeeper in a general merchandise store. He moved from Cheyenne to Ada eight years ago and later he moved to Waurika where he was engaged in the Ford Agency. Mr. Jackson was about fifty-five years of age. He leaves his wife and daughter and a number of other relatives. He was a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kendall of this city. Burial will be in Waurika Saturday afternoon. The Jacksons have a host of friends here who extend sympathies to the bereaved.
