EMANUEL (JACK) JONES Funeral services for Emanuel JONES will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Martin Funeral Chapel with Bobby CRAWFORD and Roy WILLIAMS officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Emanuel "Jack" JONES was born August 14, 1911 at Clarksville, Texas and died Friday at the age of 86. He was married to Jessie Bell DEVEREAUX on December 21, 1946 at Elk City. He moved to Elk City at the age of 16 where he lived with Mr. and Mrs. Jack RUSSELL. Mr. JONES served his country in the US Army from August 31, 1942 until his discharge on November 14, 1945 as a Private First Class, 440th Port Company, western Pacific and received the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. JONES worked for the Ford Company for 21 years and also worked at the Elk City Daily News until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jessie Bell in 1991; one brother, and one grandson. Survivors include: three brothers, one sister, four daughters, Freeda KEEL, Dimi JONES, Carmeletia JONES, Norma JONES, two sons, Robert JONES and his wife Mattie, Wayne JONES and his wife Linda all of Elk City; 26 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
