(23 Jun 1922, Elk City Southwest Press, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): IN MEMORY of Henry O. Jones, who passed away June 16, 1922, we the undersigned committee of the Elk City Camp No. 66, W.O.W., present the following resolution: Once again death has summoned a Sovereign of this camp. He has answered the call of the Sovereign of the Universe, and the gates of pearl have opened wide to receive him. He has finished his work in relieving the needs of others by casting sunbeams into dark places, and Whereas, we are reminded once more that death is no respecter of persons, and that all must submit to the Great Sovereign's will, therefore be it, Resolved that Elk Camp No. 66, W.O.W. extend their heartfelt sympathy to Sovereign Jones' family in their bereavement, and be it further Resolved that a copy of these resolutions be sent to each member of Sovereign Jones' family, a copy to each local newspaper for publication and a copy to be spread upon the minutes of this camp. Jones was born in Newton county, Mo., on the 20th day of July 1860, and died at his residence in Elk City, Oklahoma, on the 16th day of June 1922. He was married to Miss Alice Peregoy in the state of Kansas. To this union were born six children. Surviving him are his wife and four children. And we heartily extend our appreciation and kindness to friends and neighbors and to the Elk City camp No. 66, W.O.W. for their assistance and care during the long suffering of our husband and father in his last hours of need and distress.
