All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************************* JONES, ALBERT HENRY (29 Oct 1925, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Albert Jones of the north part of Elk City died Sunday morning, Oct. 25th, at 11:30 o'clock. He had been in declining health for about two years, but was taken with a sudden and violent attack of heart failure Sunday morning and succummed (sic) within a short while. Mr. Jones was born near Greenboro, North Carolina, June 28th, 1868. He came to Elk City when a young man, and has been in the employ of the railroads here ever since he came to the state. He joined the Methodist Church when young, and has lived a good life before his fellow men. A wife and five children are left to mourn his departure. The funeral was conducted from the home by the Rev. L. D. Mitchell, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and interment was made in Fairlawn cemetery. Many sympathizing friends and sorrowing relatives attended the body to the resting place.
