She was converted at the early age of seven years and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, near Butler, Oklahoma. From that day until the time of her death she was ever true to the vows of her church. She, with her parents, moved to Elk City in February, 1916, and immediately she identified herself with the Broadway Methodist congregation and her interests centered about the activities of this church through the past twelve years. She lived a consecrated Christian life that was above reproach and her sincerity and zeal for the cause of the Christ she loved was never called in question. She was a regular attendant at all the services of her church and liberally supported the work of the church with her means. She leaves a mother, Mrs. M. A. Jordan, and one sister to mourn her departure. We shall cherish a fond recollection of her devotion and loyalty to the Christ who gave her comfort and courage in the closing moments of her earthly existence. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
