Early Resident of This Section Passes at Daughter's Home in Texas. Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Jordon (sic), were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Broadway Methodist Episcopal Church, South, with Rev. Carl V. Covey, pastor of the First Christian church in charge. Mrs. Jordon was an early resident in this section, settling with her husband, Robert Jordon, on land six miles southeast of the city. Mr. Jordon died here twelve years ago, at which time Mrs. Jordon went to live with her daughter Mrs. Tom Hughes, in Ringgold, Tex., where she died Wednesday. Mrs. Jordon was born September 17, 1851, in Morrow county, Ohio. She became a Christian early in life and remained in the Christian faith throughout the years. She was married to Robert Jordon, February 15, 1872. Three daughters and three sons survive Mrs. Jordon. They are: Mrs. J. J. Moore, of this city; Mrs. Tom Hughes, of Ringgold, Mrs. Barbara Andrews, of Anadarko; Melvin Jordon, of this city until a year ago when he moved to Ulysses, Kans., Robert M. Jordon, of Fulton, N. M., and Arthur Jordon of Spearman, Texas. Interment was made in the Ural cemetery.
