KING, LAURA
(27 Mar 1907, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
MRS. LAURA COWDEN KING.
Died at her home near Hammon March 22, 1907.  She was the wife of David
King and was 24 years of age and left three children, 2, 4, and 6 years
old respectively.  The body was bought (brought) to Elk City for interment
and was laid to rest in the city cemetery, after a short service,
conducted at the First Christian Church, by pastor Otis.
Mrs. King was born in McCoupen county, Illinois, and had been a resident
of Oklahoma for eight years.  She was a niece of C. D. Cowden from whose
residence the funeral procession went to the cemetery.
