All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************************* KIRBIE, GABRIEL SIMPSON (30 Aug 1923, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): GABRIEL SIMPSON KIRBIE Gabriel Simpson Kirbie was born in Green county, Tennessee, July 5, 1851, emigrated to Parker County, Texas, in 1853, where he was married to Miss Mary Cox in 1881. To this union were born four children of which three survive him, two sons and one daughter, Edward of Noble, Oklahoma; George and Mrs. Ida Hart both of Fort Worth, Texas. His wife departed this life in 1888. He was married in 1897 to Joanna Boudlin. To this union six children were born, of which five survive, three sons and two daughters, John, Raymond, Walter and Lucille who were living with him at the time of his death and Mrs. Myrtle Walker of Camargo. His death occurred Friday August 24th, 1923. He was a member of the Church of Christ since 1882. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Rev. J. C.
