KUPKA, JOSEPH
(24 Apr 1925, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
OLD CITIZEN FALLS DEAD.
Joseph Kupka, an old and well known citizen who has been living 5 1/2
miles northwest of Foss for many years, fell to the ground dead from his
wagon as he was driving into Canute, Friday afternoon.  A heart attack was
given as the cause of death.
J. C. Dutrow, a neighbor of Mr. Kupka who was returning from Canute, met
Mr. Kupka and saw him fall.  He notified Mr. Kupka's son, J. J. Kupka, who
resides at Canute, and the body was taken to the latter's home.
He leaves a wife and four sons, together with many friends, to mourn his
sudden death.
The body was laid to rest in the Canute cemetery in the presence of many
of his old acquaintances who paid last respects to a departed friend.  -
