LENTON, FEMALE
(2 Mar 1905, Thursday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Grandma Lenton , as she was familiarly called, died at her grandson
Charles Woods of this city Sunday February 19, and her remains were laid
to rest in Elk City cemetery Monday, February 20th.
Funeral services were held a the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. J. W.
Campbell of Clinton, Okla.  The text of her own selection 2 Timothy 4-7-8
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the
faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which
the Lord the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me
only, but unto all them and love his appearing."
Grandma Lenton was 88 years 1 month 19 days old had been a faithful
follower of the lowly magicine (sic).
Let us therefore imitate the virtue of Grandma Lenton that we like her may
receive the crown.
