Little Anita Dell Littrell daughter of Guy and Calla Littrell was born November 6, 1913, and departed this life to be with Jesus, September 9, 1923. She would have been ten years old on her next birthday. Anita was a bright, sympathetic little girl who brought much pleasure to the home, and will be sadly missed by her family, relatives and her friends. She seemed on the road to recovery from her illness which was appendicitis and was looking forward to the time when she could go home, which was thought but a short time when she was suddenly stricken with hemorrhage, and slowly the little life ebbed away. Many were the kind ministrations and gifts from Church, Hospital staff and friends, all of which were appreciated by her but with all that loving hands and hearts could do, she was called to her home above to that place prepared for her in that home not made with hands eternal in Heaven. She leaves a father, mother, three brothers and one little sister, some aunts and uncles of whom she was very fond and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Church of God, Brother August Stanka officiating in a tender manner, giving scriptures touching our earthly life, also gave bright assurance of the eternal reward to those who merited that home. Brother W. W. Cochran and Brother C. S. Moad, ministers of the Church of God at Clinton assisted in prayer. This death came as a shock to the family, yet they can but follow their great example who said, "Father, not my will but Thine be done." --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
