All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************************* LOUGH, MAUDE (11 Oct 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Lough, 39, wife of C. N. Lough, 803 North Adams street, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Methodist Episcopal Church with the pastor of that church Rev. A. S. Kattner, officiating. Mrs. Lough died early Saturday morning after a prolonged illness. Mr. and Mrs. Lough and four children have lived in Elk City for the past three years. They moved here from Blackwell. Mrs. Lough was born May 22, 1891, at Cache, Oklahoma. When a small child she moved with her parents to Dalley Springs, Ark., where they lived at Violet and then at Geary. She was married to C. N. Lough at Geary, May 22, 1909. Immediate members of the family surviving Mrs. Lough are her husband, Mr. Lough and five children, four of whom were living at home. They are: Misses Mildred, Evelyn, Maxine, Doyle and Mrs. Charles Thomas of Amarillo, Tex. Other near relatives surviving are her mother, Mrs. M. J. Harp, of this city, and five brothers and sisters. They are: Mrs. William Jefferson, and Mrs. Florence Humphrey, of Elk City, and F. R. Harp of Roosevelt; Harvey E. Harp, of Gracemon, and Mrs. J. E. Mayfield of Shawnee. Besides relatives named others who will attend the funeral tomorrow are Mr. Lough's mother, Mrs. Peter Lough, of Geary, and Mr. Lough's brother, E. R. Lough and Mrs. Lough of Blackwell. Interment will be made in West Fairlawn cemetery.
