LOVE, JOHN W.
(9 Aug 1911, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Dr. John W. Love was born near Williamsport, Pa., July 30, 1830, died
suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Franklin, in this city August
6.
The deceased lived near the place of his birth until he was 21 years of
age when he moved to Iowa, where he was married to Miss Nancy Blackburn
Feb. 22, 1860.  To this union was born seven children, five of whom are
living, two only were in attendance at the funeral, Mrs. Franklin and Mrs.
E. C. Leslie of Altus.
For many years Dr. Love had made his home with Mr. Franklin and moved to
Elk City with them two years ago.
Funeral services were conducted by Eld. J. R. Bagby of Altus a minister of
the Seventh Day Adventist Church, who is holding a revival meeting at
Sayre.  The body was laid to rest in the city cemetery Monday afternoon.
