Jessie Luther Lynn died Sunday night, October 27th, just twenty-two days after his mother's death. He was aged eight years, one month and twenty-five days. Little Jesse was a delicate child, having been troubled with leakage of the heart, and since the death of his mama, he has gradually grown worse. Everything possible was done for him by the doctors and friends here, and a specialist was also called from Oklahoma City. His father, Luther Lynn, and a little brother Floyd, six years old, are left to mourn his loss, and hearts ache in sympathy for them in this double sorrow. Floyd and Jesse were such great chums, where one was you could find the other, and Floyd will be so lonesome without "brother." Many friends gathered at the Grubitz undertaking parlor Tuesday afternoon, and accompanied the precious body of little Jesse to the Fairlawn cemetery where funeral services were conducted by Rev. Posey, and he was laid to rest beside his mother from whom he had been separated but such a short time. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
