Mr. Maples was well known in this city, as he was employed in the Steam Laundry for several years. Deceased was born in Morgan County, Alabama, September 7th, 1887, and was therefore in his 31st year at the time of his passing away. He was married to Miss Marie Wilson December 15, 1907. To this union was born three children, all of whom with his wife survive. He united with the Baptist Church at this place in August 1917, to which he was a devoted member. Funeral services were held from the home conducted by Rev. Thomas, Baptist minister of Oakville, Texas, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Lebanon cemetery near Cadiz. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by his parents, three brothers and four sisters all of Wapanucka, Okla. We extend sympathy to the bereaved family, but may they be resigned to God who doeth all things well. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
