Tolbert Mauk, a young man approaching his eighteenth birthday, died of typhoid-pneumonia at the home of his uncle, W. H. Bunch, in this city, November 15. The young man had been a resident here about a year and a half, and at the time he was taken sick was driving a dray team. The body was shipped to Denison, Texas, the family home, where the funeral will take place. The parents and two sisters accompanied the body to their home. This was a sad death as the young man was one of great promise and was much endeared by his uncle and family with whom he lived. All that medical skill and kind nursing could do was done, but to no avail. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
