All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************************* MC DANIEL, MARY (24 Dec 1925, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mary Dawley was born in Ohio, May 9th, 1850 and died in Elk City, Oklahoma, December 20th, 1925 at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 11 days, She was married to Harvey McDaniel at Penville, Ind., in 1872. To this union were born six children, five daughters and one son, one daughter having died in infancy. All of her children were with her at the time of her death except one daughter, Mrs. A. M. Walker of Booneville, Ark. She became a christian in early life joining the Adventist church to which she was a faithful member until the time of her death. Services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. F. Lewis, Dec. 20th at two o'clock, Rev. Carmen officiating. Burial was made at Riley cemetery fifteen miles northwest of Taloga, with Grubitz and Son in charge. Those accompanying the body to the cemetery were, Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Barnhill and son, Mrs. Arthur Castleberry, Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Harrison, Adah Lewis, Eddie and Adrain Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Crouch. The other sisters were unable to attend. She leaves to mourn her going her four daughters, Mrs. J. F. Lewis, Mrs. S. W. Barnhill, Mrs. A. M. Walker, of Booneville, Ark., Mrs. H. A.
