MC FARLAND, WARREN HIX
(16 Jan 1925, Friday, Elk City News Democrat,  Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
The baby of Mr. and Mrs. McFarland was buried in Sayre-Doxey cemetery
Sunday eve. Rev. Smith preached the funeral sermon and said many things to
help and comfort the bereaved ones.  All extend deepest sympathy to them.
(22 Jan 1925, Sayre Journal, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Warren Hix, the little son of John and Wilma McFarland, passed away at the
home of his parents, Saturday, January 10, at the age of three years, ten
months and twenty-one days and was laid to rest in the Doxey-Sayre
cemetery amid a gathering of relatives and friends.  Brother Wells
conducted the services and spoke words of comfort and sympathy to the
bereaved ones.  Little Warren had been in ill health for some time and all
that medical science and loving hands could do was of no avail, he went to
make a home with Him, who says; "Suffer little children to come unto me,
and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."
