(29 Dec 1922, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DAN McGRADY AN OLD TIMER.
Many mourn the death of Dan McGrady, who passed away last Tuesday morning
after a lingering illness.  Many of his old time friends had watched by
his side the past week, expecting his death at any time.  He was one of
the old residents down Elk Creek about thirteen miles.  He was an uncle of
R. A. Wheeler, to whom he had shown much affection, and his death causes
Mr. Wheeler much sorrow.
Funeral services were conducted by the I.O.O.F. lodge of Elk City at Ural
cemetery, Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 27.
