March 1990) Gene F. (Butch) McGuire, 60, was born in Petersburg, Texas, March 1, 1930, and passed away Monday March 19, 1990, in the Sayre Memorial Hospital. Gene F. was the son of Grover F. and Annie Whitfield McGuire. On May 27, 1947 he was married to Dimple J. (Dink) Kirk in Lubbock, Texas. They lived in Amarillo where he was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad as agent and dispatcher. In 1965 they moved to Reydon and on to Cheyenne in 1974. Following his retirement in 1981 he farmed in the Sunny Point community. He attended the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Dimple, of the home; two sons, Mike Dennis of Mustang and Kenneth Ray of Fay; four grandchildren; one sister, Camilla Dillard of Dennison, Texas; one brother, Paul McGuire of Fayetteville, Ark. Services will be held Thursday, March 22 at 10 a.m. in the Cheyenne Church of Christ with Willard Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Dempsey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Services.
