All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************************* MILLER, EVELYN VICTORIA (21 Oct 1926, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Evelyn Victoria, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller, was born in Elk City, Okla., March 16, 1926, and died Sunday October 10th, aged six months and twenty-four days. She leaves to mourn her loss her parents, two brothers and four sisters. One sister preceded her to the Heavenly Home. A grandmother, Mrs. Jasper Miller of Grimes, and her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Skelton and other relatives and friends mourn the loss of this precious babe. Funeral services were held at the home on Monday afternoon, conducted by C. H. Lemmex, pastor of the First Christian Church, who spoke words of comfort to the sorrowing ones. Mrs. Wm. Francis and Mrs. W. O. Gibbs sang "Jewels" and "God Will Take Care of You." Many beautiful floral offerings were placed around the casket among them being one from the Woodmen, the Men's Business Class of First Christian Church, Model's Grocery, where Mr. Miller is employed, and from many friends. At the close of the service the little form was taken to Rosehill cemetery near Grimes (Roger Mills County) and which cemetery is situated on the Miller farm. The family was accompanied by Mr. Lemmex, Howard Hess, Mr. Donahoo, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Snyder, Mrs. Alice Blackburn, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Bates, Mrs. Stahl and daughters.
