MONROE, NEAL R.
(20 Dec 1923, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
N. R. Monroe Dropped Dead Friday Forenoon at the Home of L. M. Monroe.
Two weeks ago N. R. Monroe of Cleburne, Texas, came to visit his sons, Ben
and L. M. Monroe and old time friends.  Friday morning he was at the home
of L. M. Monroe when he suddenly toppled over dead.
Mr. Monroe was 72 years of age, and before going to Texas was for many
years a resident of the Cheyenne and Clinton sections, and in reality a
pioneer resident of Western Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held Sunday with interment in the Doxey-Sayre cemetery.
