All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ MOORE, ROSETTA GRACE (2 Jan 1925, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Rosetta Grace Moore was born in Kansas, in January 1909 and died at her home near Berlin, Dec. 26, 1924. She has been attending High School in Oklahoma City with an elder sister. They came home to spend Christmas holidays. She took sick on Thursday and died Friday afternoon. Her disease was unknown and beyond all human knowledge. She had a smiling disposition and was always kind to everyone. Her smiles will be greatly missed. Her last expression to her friends before she went away to school, "I am going to do all I can for my Lord." She will be greatly missed in the entire community. The funeral services were held at the Berlin school house Sunday, 2 o'clock Dec. 28, 1924. Rev. W. T. Lackey of Hammon, a former pastor of the Methodist Church of Berlin, conducted the services. "Rock of Ages" and "In the Sweet By and By" were sung. A song she had sung with the family at home "Think of the Home Over There." The choir sang this as the audience passed by and looked at the body for the last time. The pall bearers were Winston and Chester Millington, Paul Creason, Charley Samples, Hubert Johnson and Roy Hartman. The body was taken to the Berlin (Roger Mills county) cemetery in the Hullum hearse from Sayre. She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. W.
