Funeral services were held at Grandview, Oklahoma, December 4th at 2 p.m. Burial in Grandview Cemetery. George R. Grubitz & Son in charge. Obituary. Stella Maude Moore was born at Laclede, Linn County, Mo., Nov. 3 1873, and died Dec 2 (sic), 1927, at the age of fifty-four years and twenty-nine days. She was married to Edward L. Moore Dec. 26, 1895. To this union were born five children: Roy L. Moore of Pampa, Texas; Floy R. Phelps of Elk City, Okla.; Fern G. Staley of Elk City, Okla.; Arthur D. Moore of Elk City, Okla.; Fred E. Moore of Elk City, Okla. Mr. and Mrs. Moore were among the early settlers of this country, moving here from Missouri in 1900 settling on a homestead five miles north of Elk City and have made this their home since that time. That Mr. and Mrs. Moore were highly respected in the community in which they lived was evidenced by the great number of neighbors and friends attending the funeral which was conducted at the home last Sunday afternoon and by the beautiful floral offerings. The choir from the Church of God rendered some very beautiful songs. Rev. C. S. Moad preached a very consoling sermon, taking his text from Rev. 21:4, after which interment was made in the Grandview cemetery. Grubitz and Son in charge. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
