(30 Oct 1907, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Robert (sic) Morgan who has resided at Rosedale, Kansas City, for the past few years, arrived at this city on the afternoon train, Sunday. He came in the hope of benefitting his health, being in the last stage of consumption. He went to the home of T. J. McAlpin on arriving, and in less than six hours was a corpse. The body was shipped to Kansas City on the noon train, Monday. Mr. Morgan was a few years ago a resident here, owning a farm a few miles from town. It is supposed that the fatigues of the journey so taxed his strength as to produce a collapse so soon after his arrival. RESOLUTIONS OF SYMPATHY Adopted by Elk City Camp No. 4210, R. N. A. for Neighbor Ella Morgan of Kansas City whose husband died suddenly in our city Sunday October 27, 1907. Whereas: it has pleased Almighty God in his power and wisdom to enter the home of Neighbor Morgan and remove by death her beloved husband A. H. Morgan. Therefore be it resolved, that the entire Elk City camp take these means of extending our heartfelt sympathy to our bereaved neighbor in her sad affliction, and Resolved that a copy of these resolutions be published in the Elk City Record a copy of which be sent to neighbor Morgan. Mary L. Cowden, Fannie Smallwood, Mary E. Davis - Committee. (31 Oct 1907, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): A Sudden Death. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Morgan came in from Kansas City last Sunday at 1 o'clock p.m. Mr. Morgan was very low with the Asthma, being friends of Mrs. Thomas McAlpins, she invited them to her home until they could secure proper rooms. Mr. Morgan died suddenly sitting in his chair, at 9:00 o'clock p.m. Sunday. Services were held at Mrs. McAlpin's home by Rev. Hunner M. E. Church N. The remains were shipped back to Kansas City.
