All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ NICHOLS, PEARL LUCILLE (1 Nov 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Funeral services were held for Pearl Lucille Nichols on November 6, 1928, at the Presbyterian church at 3:00 o'clock p.m., when Rev. John Tracy, pastor of the church officiated. Mrs. Nichols died November 5, at a local hospital after an illness of nine weeks, at the age of 54 years, 11 months and 20 days. She was born in Missouri November 15, 1873, and married Orrick Nichols at Mount Vernon, Mo., in 1890. The Nichols family lived in Elk City since 1907 and Mrs. Nichols was a kind mother to her children, most of whom live here. She has been a member of the Presbyterian church since early girlhood. Those who survive Mrs. Nichols are her husband, Orrick Nichols, and her children, C. R. Nichols, Pearl Nichols, Hallie Nichols, Kearn Nichols, Fred Nichols, Marie Nichols, and Robert Nichols, all of Elk City, and Mr. (sic) W. H. Tabor of Crawford, R. O. Nichols of Sacramento, Calif. Interment was made at Fairlawn cemetery with Gentry-Killough funeral directors in charge of arrangements. (Names only copied from the Card of Thanks): R. O. Nichols of Sacramento, Calif.
